The organizational and national culture which led to the success of the Japanese in implementing TQM in their industries is discussed in brief. A detailed discussion on the status of Indian industries in respect of the 14 points necessary for the implementation of TQM is presented. While discussing the 14 points individually, the existing status of industries in India and the scope for the application of these 14 points is described. |
